ศศิวรรณ ดำรงศิริ สำเร็จการศึกษาที่คณะมัณฑนศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ด้วยวิทยานิพนธ์ผ้าทอแบบอย่างดั้งเดิมของชาวอีสาน
จากการลงภาคสนาม คลุกคลีกับช่างทอพื้นบ้านอย่างจริงจัง ทำให้ศศิวรรณ เป็นผู้รู้งานออกแบบและทอผ้า สามารถประยุกต์ความรู้และประสบการณ์เข้ากับเทคโนโลยีดิจิตอลพัฒนาลวดลายและการทอผ้าไหมมัดหมี่แบบดั้งเดิม ให้เป็นลายและการทอมัดหมี่ซ้อนสำเร็จเป็นรายแรกของประเทศไทย
Chabatik by Sasiwan Dumrongsiri, a talented Thai artist who has created her own style of textile weaving. She graduated from the Department of Applied Art Decorative at Silpakorn University. She specializes in computerized textile design to develop mudmee Thai silk weaving.
As the Thai representative at the Southeast Asian Festival in Osaka, and “NHK” Japan, she will granted the honourable comment in clothes contests, and others for her development of Double lkat over many years of co-operation with her teams in northeast of Thailand. Her unique new creations, Mee – Son (Double lkat) is a significant evolutionary periods in the events of Thai Mud – Mee industry.
